Delilah
Delilah is a collection of 1860s undergarments. She is complete with a steel boned corset, white cotton chemise and drawers and an elliptical crinoline made from hoop steel that is covered by a cotton petticoat. Delilah is worn underneath Kyla to form her structure.
Delilah is an exploration in techniques, working with boning and hoop steel to create such drastic forms. At her very core is a cotton chemise and pair of white cotton drawers - which to be accurate would have had a split crotch seam. She is specifically used to cover up, keep the body warm, wick away sweat and keep the wearers outer clothes undamaged from said sweat and body oils.

Her corset is constructed from coutil with flat steel boning and spiral steel boning in areas that needed more extreme curves. She closes with a steel busk in the front and has metal eyelets in the back. On top of this goes a steel boned hoop skirt, which has ties at the behind in order to balance the hoops correctly around the body.

Delilah is less of a narrative herself, but more a piece that is a building block to a new one. She is incredibly valuable in creating the correct silhouette to communicate new ideas on top of - specifically seen in the case of Kyla. Without Delilah, there would be no Kyla.
